Shaffaz and Assad agrees VB deal

Mohammed Shaffaz (Sappey) has agreed a deal with VB Sports for the upcoming season, after spending three seasons with the reds. In an interview to maldivesoccer.com, Shaffaz has also confirmed his signing with VB Sports Club. “I have signed for VB on Tuesday and I participated in the practices as well.”Sappey noted that Victory also talked about a possible offer and it was a difficult decision to decide the club.”I have a close relationship with the top officials of VB and Victory has been very professional in my three years and has been very helpful to me”.

Also VB have signed the promising defender assad from viyansa. He will be joining the practices from next month as he is on a holiday in his island.This will be the last signings from the club.VB are hoping to bring some good foreign players and have contacted some good players.

VB to give Hajj trips for their members!

VB has introduced a scheme to provide a ‘Hajj trip’ for their members. According to VB’s manager Ibrahim Rasheed (Satho), the winner would be selected from a lucky draw held among the officials and members of the team. The winner would get the opportunity to send their mother or father on a Hajj trip The winner for this year’s trip was selected yesterday and it was given to Azim Hussain (Andy).’The lucky draw was held yesterday, among the officials and the players. This would be repeated every year. This year’s lucky winner is Andy. He would get the opportunity to send his mother or father to a Hajj trip. The opportunity would be provided by the club”.This is the first time a club has decided to introduce such a scheme. VB Sports Club was formulated in 2007 and has introduced a lot of new concepts in the past two seasons. They have stopped giving away salaries at once and has been giving salaries monthly wise.

VB to camp in January

AFC cup participant, VB sports, confirmed they will camp somewhere in the January 2009 to gear up their preparations for the upcoming football season. Club CEO Gahthaan Haleem added they are yet to decide the exact destination of their camp.“We haven’t decided yet on where we will camp, but it would Dubai, Bangkok or Malaysia and we will camp during the first week of January” Gahthaan said.After VB won the FA Cup this year chairman of their shirt sponsor, Gulf Craft, said he will help the club to get an opportunity to camp in Dubai.VB also camped in Bangkok before this year’s football season and the club insisted it helped the club immensely and they will do the same before next season.
VB and Valencia will represent Maldives in next year’s AFC Cup and VB is doing their level best to achieve a memorable result in the competition.
New Radiant holds the best AFC Cup result for a local team by reaching the semi finals in 2005 and was unbeaten in Maldives to achieve it.

VB Sports CEO Gahthaan Haleem stated that 4 of Viyansa players will be signing to VB soon.Those are Anwar,assad,riley and shuaib. VB Sports  not looking add stars to their ranks this time as non of them are available for a resonable price .VB was the most quiet party in the transfer market this time.
